Our proprietary portfolio of PV power plants produced 8.1 GWh of electricity. On a year-to-date basis, 14.4 GWh of electricity has been produced, compared to 6.7 GWh during the same reporting period last year, an increase of 114.8%. This increase is a result of the expansion of our proprietary portfolio.
The clean electricity generated by our plants in the first two months of 2022 represents an avoidance of 6,511 of CO2 emissions.
Effective 1 April 2022, all of the Hungarian PV power plants in our proprietary portfolio will switch from receiving support on the basis of KÁT-licenses and METÁR-KÁT-licenses to selling electricity on the Hungarian day-ahead market. This will allow them to benefit from the current greatly increased electricity prices.
Our Photon Water business line commenced a lake management project to control excessive algae growth and improve water quality in Valley Lake in Mount Gambier, Australia.
In line with current regulations as well as our own values and ESG strategy, we have instituted the Photon Energy Group SpeakUp Line, a channel for all external and internal stakeholders to report misconduct related to Photon Energy Group business and operations.
